Introducing Dust

DustHello everyone!
Nearly two years ago I was one of three people to open the gamigo offices in the USA, located just blocks from Times Square in Manhattan. Since then it’s been quite an adventure, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some fantastic games, developers, and communities! I am a native English speaker, but have been slowly training my German (my vocabulary is just beginning to grow beyond Rammstein’s teachings).
I’ve been involved with games my entire life… as a gamer, as a composer for indie developers, as an amateur shoutcaster, and currently as a Community Manager. I find games to be one of the ultimate methods of storytelling as well as a wonderful melting pot for enjoying many types of art. The real magic happens at the end though, in the simple act of playing together. As children, we have an inherent understanding that the best way to know each other is through playing together. Games are a reminder to continue this tradition, as well as to continue meeting new people and coming to new understandings.
My gaming preferences revolve around fresh and unique experiences, and I’m a big proponent of the avant-garde side of gaming development. If a game isn’t pushing any boundaries I most likely will not be playing it. Luckily, Otherland fits right into this! I look forward to being a part of sharing this unique game with you, and building our relationships and understanding of the world (and all of its multiple layers of reality) together.
Cheers!
